Job Description

The Systems Administrator role is accountable for maintaining the technology infrastructure and supporting XPRIZE users for their day-to-day operations. This role is accountable for overall IT efforts within the company.

The Systems Administrator reports to the VP, Technology, and is a key member of the Information Technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the XPRIZE IT Systems and Cloud SaaS applications
  • Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
  • Introducing and integrating new technologies
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software
  • Performing backups and restoring of data
  • Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
  • Installing and configuring new hardware and software
  • Creating training materials and conducting security awareness trainings for end users
  • Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc
  • Responsibility for security
  • Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the systems
  • Tuning Systems performance
  • Answering technical queries and troubleshooting any reported problems

Qualifications

  • 4+ years Systems Administration experience in a venture-backed, start-up (preferred)
  • 3+ years administering Azure, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace is required
  • 3+ years of experience working with Windows 11 is required
  • 3+ years of experience of working with MAC OS client
  • 2+ years of experience with centralized Endpoint Protection Systems, Secure Web and Email Gateways
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace applications is required
  • 3+ years of experience working with Patching Systems and Endpoint Management Systems (both MAC and PC)
  • Must work well in team environments
  • Have significant experience supporting remote telecommuter environment
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Bachelor degree with concentration in CIS is required
  • Azure Certification is a Big Plus
