Medical Procurement Coordinator Job Description

Auxo Medical LLC is a leading manufacturer and service provider of medical equipment. We are seeking a skilled Medical Procurement Coordinator to assist with purchasing requests, manage inventory, and provide administrative support.

Salary: $15 - $19 per hour depending on experience

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Procurement Coordinator. This role will be responsible for assisting with purchasing requests, managing inventory, and providing administrative support.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for computer skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Purchasing Responsibilities
  • Communicate with multiple departments to determine purchasing requirements and priorities.
  • Analyze sales history, inventory status, and generate purchase orders to ensure maximum advantage by combining orders, leveraging freight options, and negotiated terms with suppliers.
  • Track the status of all purchase orders, maintain a current list of expected arrival dates, and disseminate information to sales and operations personnel.
  • Work with accounting and receiving staff, as well as vendors, to resolve discrepancies including invoicing errors, delivery issues, backorders, inconsistencies, freight claims, etc.
Inventory Management
  • Ensure that the inventory count and the inventory value in the accounting software match actual conditions.
  • Implement periodic cycle counts and plan and implement the annual physical inventory count.
  • Manage minimum stock levels per Auxo's guidelines and ensure proper inventory storage and tracking.
Administrative Support
  • Backup phone queues during high volume call periods or when the administrative assistant is out of the office.
  • Perform backup of administrative duties performed by other inside administrative positions as needed.

Requirements:

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or healthcare industries preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Candidates with an associate degree or higher in Business or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements

Requires the ability to work eight or more hours per day in the confined quarters of an office, read plans, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move items less than 50 pounds, and stand for various activities.
