Field Technician

PEER Consultants, P.C. is seeking a skilled Field Technician to support our Civil/Environmental Engineering team in the Boston, MA region. As a Field Technician, you will provide technical assistance to engineers on various projects, including water/wastewater and transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist engineers with water/wastewater field investigations, including stormwater quality monitoring, IDDE investigations, and existing conditions assessments of MH and pipe systems.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including field tasks such as soil borings, monitoring well installation, and soil/groundwater sampling.
- Prepare record drawings and perform potable water sampling.
- Work collaboratively with a team of engineers, field technicians, and/or resident inspectors.
- A High School Diploma plus 1-year relevant experience or college coursework in a related discipline, or an associate's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- CAD training, certification, and/or experience is a plus.
- Ability to walk job sites, sometimes on uneven terrain, and stand for extended periods. Ability to wear safety equipment.
- Ability to carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Up-to-date knowledge of computer and tablet operations and standard software packages, including Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver's license and personal smartphone are required.
- Bilingual is a plus.
