Medical Team Lead for Georgia Harm Reduction

Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Team Lead to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
About the Role
The Medical Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of medical assistants, promoting practice goals and policies, and ensuring clinic flow. Key responsibilities include training, inventory management, scheduling, patient flow, and clinical services such as triage, phlebotomy, and wound care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative:
- Train medical assistants, students, and volunteers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Manage inventory and clinic ordering to ensure that all necessary supplies are available when needed.
- Optimize patient and staff scheduling to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate referrals and ensure seamless communication.
- Transmit prescription refills and oversee prior authorization to ensure timely access to care.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and hours of Medical Assistants to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with data reporting and auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Clinical:
- Record patient history, vital signs, and medical status accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow OSHA guidelines to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Follow HIPAA requirements for patient information and confidentiality to maintain trust and respect.
- Assist with physical examinations, laboratory specimens, and medication administration to provide comprehensive care.
- Conduct phlebotomy and provide wound care to patients in need.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
