Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Wake County Public School System.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating general construction and trade-specific work, reviewing work orders, cost estimates, and scheduling work. They will also initiate contracts for general construction repair work and provide expertise on supporting operations by analyzing general construction repair needs and identifying solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Apps. They should also possess considerable knowledge of maintenance and general construction, with the ability to read architectural blueprints and drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate general construction and trade-specific work
  • Review work orders, cost estimates, and schedule work
  • Initiate contracts for general construction repair work
  • Analyze general construction repair needs and identify solutions
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure repairs are completed as specified
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Five years of experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management system
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of North Carolina requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year technical or management degree in related field
  • Working knowledge of maintenance and general construction
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, the position offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
