Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician Class A to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling medium to heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication to ensure optimal vehicle performance
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical components
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues
  • Collaborate with junior mechanics to provide guidance and support in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire & wheel, air & disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic component repair
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in refrigeration &/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
Compensation and Benefits:
  • A competitive salary of up to $33.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Sunday - Thursday schedule from 3:00pm - 11:30pm
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply)
