We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Registration Specialist to join our team at Sampson Regional Medical Center. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient service while collecting demographic, insurance, and medical information.

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate registration documents and verifying medical licenses of non-medical staff providers. If you possess strong communication and math skills, we encourage you to apply.

  • Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and excellent customer service skills. Associate's degree in business or healthcare management is preferred, as well as previous experience in hospital patient access or front desk physician's office.

  • Collect demographic, insurance, and medical information from patients with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Produce high-quality registration documents and verify medical licenses of non-medical staff providers.
  • Provide exceptional patient service and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, basic math, and data entry skills.
  • Associate's degree in business or healthcare management (preferred).
  • Previous experience in hospital patient access or front desk physician's office (preferred).
  • Bilingual (a plus).
