Chief Patient Care Coordinator

The Chief Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. This role requires evaluating medical information, providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Key Responsibilities include preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications. Additionally, the Chief Patient Care Coordinator must change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed. This role also involves adjusting specialized medical equipment and interpreting measurements. Furthermore, the Chief Patient Care Coordinator must monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a BSN preferred, or graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia, or Current Multistate Compact License is also required. Additionally, the candidate must have Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification. Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred. However, will consider candidates without acute care experience.
