Construction Materials Engineer Technician Position in North Carolina

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our team in Greenville, North Carolina. As an entry-level position, this role offers excellent opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Fieldwork and Testing: Conduct site visits to review plans specifications and documentation, accurately record observations and testing results related to construction materials.
- Data Management: Utilize field and laboratory information management systems efficiently for data organization.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain accuracy of field and laboratory tools to meet industry standards.
- Special Inspections: Adhere to International Building Code (IBC) standards for testing and inspecting construction materials.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage with management, contractors, and clients to relay project progress and address concerns.
Requirements
- A high school diploma/GED
- 0-2 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
- Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
- MATH skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure
- The ability to complete data entry into multiple software applications on a smart device
- One or more active certifications: American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), DOT Certifications
