At Performance Foodservice, we value the safety of our associates and are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician A to join our team. This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe operation of our fleet of diesel equipment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced technician with expertise in repairing, maintaining, and overhauling medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, convertor dollies, and maintenance vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and other essential systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our fleet equipment under minimal supervision
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake system inspections, and lubricating equipment
  • Ensuring all equipment meets compliance standards and is properly licensed and registered
  • Training and guiding junior technicians
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
