About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Director to lead our wellness programs at Country Meadows Retirement Communities.

As a Fitness Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative wellness initiatives that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Your expertise will help create a vibrant and inclusive community that promotes physical activity, socialization, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging exercise programs for older adults, focusing on balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare and therapy teams to create comprehensive wellness programs that support residents' physical and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement co-worker wellness initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce stress.
  • Conduct assessments to identify residents' fitness goals and create personalized exercise plans.
  • Provide training and support to our staff to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality fitness programs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in group exercise, personal training, or a related field are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with older adults, particularly in a fitness or wellness setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage residents and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
