We are seeking a skilled Primary Therapist to join our team at Alsana, an eating disorder recovery community.

Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.

Job Description:

Overview: At Alsana, we provide comprehensive treatment programs for individuals affected by serious eating disorders. As a Primary Therapist, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, providing consultation, case management, and therapy to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide feedback on various evaluation tools relevant to eating disorder treatment.
  • Lead individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of each client.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with outpatient teams to share updates on client progress.
  • Participate in training and supervisions as assigned by senior staff.
  • Support direct care in observing client behavior, managing milieu conflict, and assisting with daily tasks.
  • Engage in meals and snacks with clients as part of their treatment plan.
  • Provide crisis stabilization and check-ins with clients as needed.
  • Offer on-call coverage during assigned times.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Two years' recent experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred.
  • Eligibility for registration with a professional association is essential.
  • The ability to educate and consult with clients, families, and healthcare professionals is crucial.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and professional practice guidelines for treating various disorders is necessary.
  • Knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, policies, and procedures is also required.
