Staff Nurse Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team at the Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency.

Job Description

This is a 0.7 FTE position with an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience and location in Minneapolis, MN. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide and coordinate nursing care by protecting, promoting, and optimizing health, preventing illness and injury, alleviating suffering, and partnering with patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health through evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
  • Preventing illness and injury by identifying and mitigating risks, and providing timely interventions
  • Alleviating suffering through effective pain management and symptom control
  • Partnering with patients and their families to empower them with knowledge and skills for self-care
  • Documenting interventions and individualized plans of care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of recent adult ICU or Interventional Radiology professional nursing experience, including experience managing drips, ventilators, and vents
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Ability to wear lead aprons during procedures and stand for long periods of time
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with procedures, sedation, and pediatric care is preferred, along with PALS certification within 6 months of starting in this position.
