About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient Endocrine team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the advancement of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients, utilizing relevant data to evaluate for physiologic instability and formulate a plan of care.
  • Perform therapeutic interventions to stabilize acute and critical health problems, analyzing indications, contraindications, risk of complications, and cost-benefits.
  • Manage patient transitions between and within healthcare settings, incorporating health promotion, health protection, and injury prevention measures into the plan of care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, serving as an educational resource to patients, families, nursing staff, and providers.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including research and education, and contribute to the professional development of others through precepting and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensure in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field, with a strong foundation in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an inter-professional team setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical communication systems, with a strong understanding of patient safety principles and practices.
