Job Overview

Callisons Inc is seeking a highly skilled Flavorist II to join our R&D team. As a key member of our flavor development team, you will be responsible for creating innovative flavor solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and compound experimental flavor formulas with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Evaluate raw materials and collaborate with the team to qualify new suppliers.
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing work instructions and re-work strategies.
  • Participate in daily sensory evaluation and collaborate with other R&D team members to develop new flavors.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, food science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a commercial laboratory and using laboratory equipment for liquid transfer, measuring, and mixing.
  • Experience compounding liquid flavors and knowledge of organic chemistry and good laboratory practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-5 years of flavor compounding experience in the personal care or sweet goods categories.
  • Jr. certification with the Society of Flavor Chemists or progress towards completion.
Additional Requirements
  • U.S. Passport and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
