Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PC Network Specialist to join our team at Centrend, Inc. in Worcester, MA.

About the Role

This is a remote position with approximately 85% of time spent working independently from home within a 45-minute radius of Worcester, MA. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and networking. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to explain complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.

You will work directly with the owner who has over 25 years of IT experience and will have opportunities for growth and advancement in the company. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical client issues remotely and on-site as required.
  • Monitor and manage the trouble ticket system and take ownership of tickets from junior technicians as needed.
  • Continually maintain accurate status, notes, hours, and documentation of customer configurations, work summaries, and history with the client.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' hands-on networking experience.
  • Possession of a minimum 3-5 years in an IT technical support-related role troubleshooting and supporting PC hardware and software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Exchange, etc.) and experience with Windows Servers, configuration, networking, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with DNS Security and Management, Networking switches, DHCP, and Static IP assignments.
