We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our team at Lantern Community Services Inc in the Bronx, NY area.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our supportive housing program and work with a dynamic team to provide high-quality services to individuals facing mental health challenges, substance abuse issues, or chronic illnesses.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the supportive housing program, ensuring that services meet the needs of clients and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Clinical Supervision: Directly supervise case management staff, providing clinical guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of case managers and other program staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Client Services: Develop and implement programs that promote housing stability, quality of life, and overall well-being among clients.
  • Fundraising and Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with funders, community partners, and stakeholders to secure resources and support for the program.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Mental Health Counseling (MHC), with a license required within one year of employment.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a supportive housing setting.
  • Knowledge of mental health, substance use, young adults, and/or chronically homeless populations.
  • Experience working with OMH, DOHMH, and/or HASA contract managers and knowledge of funders' regulations, scopes of services, and standards.
  • Strong trauma-informed clinical engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and make sound assessments of tenants' strengths and needs.
