Job Overview

The Nurse Resident position offers a comprehensive development program that includes:

  • Attending all assigned learning activities and clinical experiences on time and prepared.
  • Rotating shifts according to the program and/or preceptors' schedule.
  • Responsible for all costs associated with required books, materials, equipment, and transportation.
  • Working closely with preceptors, educators, and program coordinators to integrate and maximize learning.
  • Participating in regular evaluation sessions to obtain/provide feedback on individual performance and the Nurse Residency Program.
  • Completing a Research Project prior to program completion.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Associate or Baccalaureate nursing program.
  • An active DC Registered Nurse License prior to the first day of orientation.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.8 (transcripts will be requested and 2.8 GPA must be maintained through graduation).
  • No prior experience as an RN.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification (additional certifications may be required for certain specialties).

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
