Faculty Position in Business Analytics

The Calvin University School of Business invites applications for a full-time faculty member in Business Analytics (open rank, tenure-track or renewable-term) to join the school beginning in August 2024 – final position approval pending.

About the Position

We seek applicants with vibrant Christian faith who are dedicated to integration of that faith with their field of study.

Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or other terminal degree in business analytics, information systems, data science, business statistics, or a related business discipline. Candidates with a master's degree or ABD in the above disciplines with five years of relevant business experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics, including data collection, storage, analysis, and communication.
  • Develop and maintain a research agenda in business analytics, with a focus on integration of faith and learning.
  • Advise students and provide mentorship in business analytics.
  • Engage in service to the university, department, and profession, including committee work, conference presentations, and peer review.
Requirements
  • PhD or terminal degree in business analytics, information systems, data science, business statistics, or a related business discipline.
  • Five years of relevant business experience for candidates with a master's degree or ABD.
  • Strong networks in the business community.
  • Commitment to experiential learning.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or master's level.
  • Demonstrated potential for relevant research and publication.
