Job Title: Korean/English Translator/Interpreter

At StarPlus Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled Korean/English Translator/Interpreter to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between our Korean-speaking colleagues and the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate written documents, including reports, marketing materials, and legal documents, from Korean to English and vice versa.
  • Conduct consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other events as required.
  • Ensure accurate translation of content while maintaining the intended meaning, style, and tone of the original text.
  • Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translation of specialized texts.
  • Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure linguistic and grammatical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other translators and team members to ensure consistency in terminology and style across projects.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify translation requirements, address questions, and provide project updates.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Use translation tools and software to enhance translation efficiency and maintain translation memory.
  • Continuously improve language skills and cultural knowledge through self-study and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Completely proficient with writing, reading, and speaking Korean and English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interpret within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Proficient computer and internet skills for researching and translating documents
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience working as an interpreter in a manufacturing environment
