Are you a passionate and skilled professional looking to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families? About Play is seeking an experienced Early Interventionist to join our dynamic team in Florence, Darlington, and surrounding counties in South Carolina.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $46,780 annually, including travel mileage reimbursement at .45 per mile up to a $565 reimbursable monthly cap. Our benefits package includes 401(k) & 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, paid time off, and vision insurance.

Job Description

As an Early Interventionist with About Play, you will provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. Your responsibilities will include performing family training with caregivers and children in their homes, daycares, or natural environment settings, providing training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning, developing and implementing strategies to promote child development, and monitoring progress.

This is a full-time position requiring a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or a related field, plus one year of documented experience working with children birth to six years old. Prior early interventionist experience is preferred, but recent graduates with a degree in a related field and a willingness for on-the-job training are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Driver's License (Required) & Reliable Car
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (Heartsaver, Infant & Child) (Preferred)

Able to travel 50-75% of the time, we require candidates to reside in the listed counties and surrounding areas in South Carolina.
