IT Infrastructure Specialist

Kings Dominion seeks a skilled Systems Engineer to join its team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure.

This is a highly technical position that requires expertise in project management, network design, implementation, security maintenance, support, and overall knowledge of Client/Server, network, hardware, database, and software integrations.

• Monitor system utilization to ensure efficient use and identify areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain documentation on systems and process flows.
• Develop daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual audits, checklists, and preventive measures as needed.
• Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Technologies, including network communications both on-premises and within Azure and Office 365.
• Communicate effectively with diverse teams across the company, internal divisions, and external vendors on support updates and project planning.
• Evaluate current or emerging technologies and recommend solutions based on factors like cost, complexity, time, and overall efficiency value to the company.
• Collaborate with other engineers, system administrators, software developers, users, and management to select appropriate design solutions to ensure the compatibility of system components and enhanced efficiency.

To be considered for this role, you should have an Associate's degree or vocational/technical school degree, with 4-6 years of related work experience. Microsoft Technologies, including Active Directory, SQL, Client/Server, GPO, PowerShell, Office 365, are essential skills. Any IT professional certifications are preferred.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise required for the role.
