Join DCS Clinical, a leading healthcare organization, as we seek an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary of $45-$55/hour.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Dental Hygienist who can promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping them.
  2. Dental Prophylaxis: Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.
  3. Disease Detection: Detect diseases by completing oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and assess levels of recession, and exposing and developing radiographic studies.
  4. Cavity Prevention: Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
  5. Emergency Response: Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs, oxygen supply, and directory of emergency numbers.
  6. Patient Education: Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions, providing reminders of their next dental hygiene visit.
  7. Documentation: Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  9. Supply Management: Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies.

Requirements:
  1. Licensure/Certification: Possess a Registered Dental Hygienist license or certification.

  4. Computer Skills: Demonstrate basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (email and contact management preferred).
