About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our company fleet by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on our diesel equipment.

Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on diesel equipment to ensure safe operation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and associated systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies
- Train and guide other mechanics as needed
- 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and associated systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
