Job Title: Senior IT Systems Administrator

Resorts World Catskills is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft SQL database environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee user policies, security, administration, account management, and NTFS permissions to ensure the health and security of our systems.
  • Manage Microsoft SQL servers for peak performance and backup.
  • Perform vulnerability and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Configure and support security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Implement network security policies and procedures to protect our systems and data.
  • Train employees on security awareness and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Develop and update disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.
  • Conduct security audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy principles and procedures.
  • Understanding of Microsoft NTFS permissions and their relationship to system security, audit, and compliance.
  • Complete understanding of managing Microsoft SQL servers.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Microsoft server environments, with a focus on security and administration.
  • Proven experience in managing Microsoft and SQL servers, with a strong understanding of network systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS permissions, and SQL server management.
Language Skills:
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from team members or guests.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
Work Environment:
  • The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • The noise level in the work environment varies, and team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
