Job Title: Server

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Server to join our team at Kankakee Country Club. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating and ensure their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
  2. Describe specials of the day to guests and answer questions regarding menu items, making recommendations when appropriate.
  3. Take food and beverage orders from guests and deliver food promptly after preparation.
  4. Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
  5. Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests to stay informed about menu offerings and service standards.
  6. Maintain an organized workstation and perform side work duties efficiently.
  7. Set up and break down golf stations every shift, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
  8. Account for checks and cash transactions, utilizing our Point of Sales System accurately.
  9. Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders, as well as greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
  10. Practice tray service for all food and beverage service, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
  11. Be cross-trained in bartending service to provide a comprehensive experience for our guests.
  12. Incorporate safe work practices in job performance, adhering to company standards.
  13. Hold a valid driver's license, as you may be required to operate the picker for range balls and golf cart.
  14. Regular and reliable attendance is essential, as well as performing other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training are required.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the position.
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of POS system is preferred.
