Senior Manager, Data Security Leader

This is a senior management position that oversees the development and implementation of security-related computer applications software or specialized utility programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing vulnerabilities, identifying weaknesses, and ensuring timely patching and remediation to maintain a secure environment.

The role involves leading and managing a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. It also requires providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and career growth.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our data security efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a software engineering team, overseeing the development, creation, and modification of security-related computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the installation of new security-related systems or modifications to existing systems.
  • Determine security-related system performance standards and ensure compliance with frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team, promoting the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and efficient development methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development of the software engineering roadmap and strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Facilitate clear communication within the team and across departments, ensuring transparency and alignment of goals.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical/engineering-related occupation.
  • Expertise in agile and scrum methodologies, software development principles, and technologies like CI/CD.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers, comprehend their pain points, and address their concerns by prioritizing bugs and features that improve user experience.
  • Strong leadership and guidance skills, including mentoring, coaching, and creating training programs or resources as needed.

Estimated Salary Range:

$217,392 - $230,000 per year.
