CNA - LTC Activities Aide

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in providing quality patient care at PeaceHealth. As an Activities Aide, you will work closely with professional nursing personnel to deliver compassionate and personalized care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of their licensure. This includes performing basic technical skills such as taking vital signs, measuring fluid intake/output, applying dressings, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming, dressing, toileting assistance, eating, and hydration.
  • Help patients walk, exercise, and move in and out of bed.
  • Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs.
  • Document relevant patient care data.
  • Provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering telephones.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant - Alaska.
  • Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift patients weighing up to 35 pounds without assistive equipment. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
