Job Description

Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Nursing Specialist to join their team in Spokane, Washington.

About the Role

This 13-week contract position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in cardiovascular care. As a Cardiovascular Nursing Specialist, you will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough cardiovascular assessments, including taking detailed health histories, performing physical exams, and monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation).
  • Clinical Care and Procedures: Administer prescribed medications, assist with diagnostic procedures, and provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Care Plan Development: Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families on managing cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease prevention, dietary modifications, physical activity, and medication adherence.
  • Emergency Response and Critical Care: Respond promptly to cardiovascular emergencies, providing life-saving interventions including CPR, defibrillation, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the United States
  • At least 2 years of experience in cardiovascular nursing
  • Advanced assessment skills and knowledge of cardiovascular diseases
  • Ability to respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions
Compensation

The pay package for this role includes a tax-free stipend amount and is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
