Role Overview

The Social Services Director of Care and Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of social services programs in our facility.

  • This includes recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff, including Mental Health Professionals, Qualified Mental Health Practitioners, Certified Recovery Specialists, and Residential Service Assistants.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, including wellness recovery action plans, illness management and recovery, dual diagnosis, and trauma-informed care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversight of treatment program implementation
  • Coordination of referrals for residents to services not provided by the facility
  • Development and coordination of educational in-services
  • Clinical case supervision of all treatment personnel
  • Oversight of assessments for potential residents
  • Development of Performance Improvement Project (PIP) tools to enhance care delivery

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must meet the definition of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by the Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.)
  • At least two years of direct care experience with individuals having psychiatric disorders
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and delegate authority effectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Compensation Details

$55,000 - $60,000 per year
