Medication Aide Job Description

Buckner Retirement Services Community is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to deliver exceptional care to our residents. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in medication distribution, ensuring the highest quality of service and hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing the prescribed healthcare plan for residents.
  • Administer medications according to the prescribed schedule and document all PRN medications.
  • Observe and report any reactions or side effects of medication administered.
  • Take and record vital signs of residents prior to medication administration.
  • Administer and document regularly prescribed medications.
Requirements:
  • Completes required training and certification requirements.
  • Minimum of one year related experience or equivalent formal education/training.
  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Proficient ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with patient rights and regulatory requirements.
