SUPERVISOR, MACHINING OPERATIONS

Overview

The Machine Shop Supervisor at SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP is responsible for overseeing all machining processes within the shop. This role requires ensuring all areas of production meet corporate goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely completion of work order tickets to specification.
  • Mentor, lead, and supervise up to 40 employees.
  • Supervise production flow within the machine shop, ensuring safety and efficiency of the entire shop floor.
  • Work with shop floor, manufacturing engineers, and quality teams to resolve recurring nonconformance issues.
  • Review work instructions with planners to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing/testing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team.
  • PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 5+ years in the role of a CNC machinist, knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma, and experience troubleshooting manufacturing operations.
Compensation:

$105,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and more.
