Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Agent is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services for the Prairie Flower Casino property.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to procure goods and services according to the property's needs and budget.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company Internal Controls and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to establish and maintain positive relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for inventory management.
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure purchasing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Minimum two years of experience in a procurement role required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong typing and 10-key skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and reports.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or questions from others within the company.
- Ability to effectively present and explain information to others in a clear and concise manner.
This position is in an office setting and requires the ability to be at a desk for the majority of the workday. The position also requires occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and specific vision abilities.
