Job Title: Solution Architect for Third-Party Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect for Third-Party Applications to join our team at the City of Toledo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing complex software systems that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement software solutions that align with business requirements and goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, users, and stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet business needs.
  • Develop technical blueprints and plans for complete solutions.
  • Configure applications and manage change.
  • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to resolve problems with third-party software systems.
  • Provide technical leadership on complex projects.
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Research new third-party applications, industry trends, and standards.
  • Analyze user requirements and define system objectives.
  • Devise solutions that are efficient and cost-effective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Three years of experience in developing solutions with 3rd-party applications, both internally and externally hosted applications, including vendor relationship management and software configuration.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics solutions, ERP, work orders, and asset management is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cityworks, Crystal Reports, XML, Transact SQL, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to effectively utilize computers, automated systems, and related software applications.
  • Ability to interpret and apply program and project requirements.
