Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist

Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement personalized recovery plans, providing guidance and support throughout their journey towards long-term sobriety.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility
- Facilitate the development and review of individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling services, ensuring regular check-ins and progress evaluation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge strategies to ensure ongoing support
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field, with at least 3+ years of individual counseling experience
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 2 years' experience preferred
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals highly valued
- LADC I or LADC II certification and 2+ years of substance abuse counseling experience also considered
- Demonstrated positive attitude, non-judgmental approach, and acceptance of patient populations
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen required
