Job Summary

The Carrier Payables Specialist is a key member of our team at INSURICA, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of insurance carrier accounts. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile carrier statements and invoices against EPIC invoicing, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Research and resolve issues with internal Account Managers and carrier contacts, ensuring open communication and a joint resolution process.
  • Process payments to Finance Companies as needed for financed policies, maintaining accurate record-keeping in the agency management system.
  • Monitor the subsidiary ledger to ensure timely payments to carriers and accurate record-keeping.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with carrier contacts, promoting a team environment and finding accommodating solutions for customers, companies, and the Agency.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in agency accounting, with demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable and payable.
  • A High School diploma required; college-level accounting courses or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products and automated agency management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing priority environment, with regular and punctual attendance required.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally is also required. The work environment is fast-paced and multi-tasking, with periodic high disruption and changing priorities.
