We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Beacon Orthopaedic Partners MSO LLC. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical and administrative tasks of our physicians.
Job Responsibilities- Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a positive first impression and setting the tone for their visit.
- Assist physicians with preparing patients for exams, reviewing patient history, and discussing medical concerns, demonstrating your ability to work closely with healthcare professionals.
- Perform basic medical tasks such as suture removal, injections, and prescription documentation, showcasing your technical skills and attention to detail.
- Handle patient requests for physical therapy or off-work notes, displaying your excellent communication skills and patient-centric approach.
- Respond to patient messages and prescription requests through our EMR system, highlighting your proficiency in electronic health records.
- Assist with patient follow-up care by coordinating with other services, demonstrating your ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Ensure all exam rooms are clean, organized, and ready for the next patient, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
- Perform general X-Rays, showcasing your ability to adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- Manage incoming calls, faxed documents, and portal messages, effectively handling multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Help with surgery packet preparation and pre-clinic preparations, demonstrating your organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Communicate with physicians and staff to keep everything running smoothly, highlighting your excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and facilitate record requests when needed, showcasing your attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Assist with obtaining MRI and X-ray results for physician review, displaying your ability to coordinate with external services and prioritize tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Work closely with physicians, clinic managers, and other team members to provide exceptional patient care, highlighting your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Support a positive, cooperative clinic culture that values teamwork and communication, demonstrating your commitment to building a productive and supportive work environment.
- Adapt to the changing needs of the clinic and contribute to a smooth, efficient workday, showcasing your flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but we encourage candidates with higher education levels to apply.
- A GXMO certification is necessary, but prior experience working with General X-ray Machine Operators is preferred.
- No less than 1 year of medical assisting experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an orthopedic or medical office, is expected.
