Job Title: Senior Technical Drafter

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Drafter to join our team at Bledsoe Construction LLC. in the role of creating technical drawings using AutoCAD software.

The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare technical drawings to help design, build, and assist in other engineering, manufacturing, or architectural projects. Your daily duties include:

  • Utilizing CAD software, such as AutoCAD, to create accurate and detailed drawings
  • Collaborating with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications and requirements
  • Writing related technical documents, including material lists and cost estimates
  • Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates and updating existing drawings as new information becomes available

In addition to your technical skills, you will need strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other professionals.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with competitive compensation. The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD software
  • Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals
  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards
  • Advanced mathematical skills
Education

A two-year associate degree or 1-year certificate program in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) is preferred, but not required. At least two to three years of experience as a AutoCAD Drafter is also acceptable.
