Director of Health Systems Finances

The State of Vermont is seeking a highly skilled Director of Health Systems Finances to join its innovative leadership team. This role will spearhead the Board's health systems regulatory work in a value-based care environment. The successful candidate will manage a team of finance and data professionals, overseeing a major fiscal program or operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fiscal strategies to support the Board's health systems regulatory work
- Manage a team of finance and data professionals to ensure effective program operations
- Collaborate with Board members to provide financial guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Board policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, or business administration
- Five years or more of experience in accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, or analysis, including experience managing a major fiscal program or operations
- OR seven years or more of experience in accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, or analysis, including experience managing programs, funding sources, or staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working with Accountable Care Organization operations or CMS All Payer Model agreement(s)
- Experience working with regulatory boards under Vermont's Open Meeting Law
- Experience with hospital budgets or insurance premium rate development or review
Total Compensation
The State of Vermont offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, paid holidays and leave, and a pension plan. The total compensation package is worth about 30% of your total compensation.
