At Okemos Opco LLC, we are proud to offer a rewarding career opportunity for an Executive Chef - Nutrition Services. This role is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to residents and employees in our facilities.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef who can lead our nutrition services team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six months' experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably with therapeutic diet preparation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing menus prior to preparation, preparing food for regular and therapeutic diets, and ensuring that food is served at the proper temperature and in an attractive manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu, as well as employees and special events, as instructed by the supervisor
- Prepare alternative items to meet residents' individual needs and food preferences
- Ensure that food tastes good and is served at the appropriate temperature in an attractive, appetizing manner
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards
Requirements
- Minimum of tenth grade or above
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred, or other food safety certification as required in state or county of facility
- Six months' experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably with therapeutic diet preparation
