About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for managing and improving site security operations in our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day security activities for assigned data centers under the guidance of a manager
  • Assess vendor compliance, track service deliverables, and escalate corrective actions as needed
  • Provide support to all vendors within the data center
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with AWS security standards and policies
  • Lead media security requirements within the data center
  • Participate in regular meetings with vendors, data center operations, and other partner teams to achieve operational consistency
  • Effectively communicate security policies and procedures to partner teams
  • Troubleshoot security devices in conjunction with the local security system integrator

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs
  • 3+ years of project management experience and creating process improvement procedures
  • 3+ years of managing a team of individual contributors and vendors
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working in a facility and observing security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points
  • 3+ years of experience driving campaigns to reduce nuisance alarms
  • 4+ years of overseeing security sub-contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls
  • 3+ years of experience creating and implementing emergency planning programs and physical security countermeasures
