Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is a critical member of our diagnostic imaging team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images. This role requires a strong foundation in MRI technology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient charts and requisitions to determine the most appropriate diagnostic imaging protocol
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process
  • Operate MRI equipment, adjusting settings and protocols as needed to produce high-quality images
  • Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as required, following established sterile technique and safety protocols
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, recognizing changes that may require further action
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in MRI technology and patient care
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program
  • Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT, or MRI Registry-eligible with certification within one year of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One year of MRI experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
