Job Description
The Head of Medical is a key member of the executive team responsible for defining the overall business strategy and direction of the organization. This position leads the Medical function, including Medical Affairs, MSL team, Medical Regulatory Affairs, Medical Operations, Safety and Pharmacovigilance, and Patient Advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Clinical Strategy: Develop and execute clinical strategies, including scientific rationale, regulatory input, and advice from medical KOLs, patient advocacy groups, and payors.
- Medical Affairs Strategy: Forge and bolster relationships with KOLs and investigators in the MPN space, bringing their voices into PharmaEssentia's clinical programs.
- Regulatory Strategy: Contribute to the development and review of regulatory submissions, participate in regulatory agency meetings as relevant.
- Publishing and Presentations: Contribute to publication plans, present clinical data at key meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- MD Required: 15+ years of experience in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs.
- Hematology and Oncology Experience: Strong preference for hematology experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to oversee clinical and medical functions.
- Regulatory Expertise: Understanding of global regulatory requirements, influence decision-making, and late-stage interactions with regulators.
- Established Network: Record of designing and leading rigorous clinical development plans in oncology, established links with the medical community globally and locally.

Estimated Salary Range:
