This part-time role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. As a Receptionist/Office Assistant, you will be responsible for handling front desk duties, providing general office support, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Your fluency in both English and Japanese will be essential in communicating with colleagues and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional front office atmosphere.
  • Answering and directing incoming calls and emails to the appropriate personnel.
  • Managing mail, couriers, and other deliveries.
  • Performing basic administrative duties, such as data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Providing support to the accounting department with tasks like processing invoices, reconciling expense reports, and data entry into accounting software.
  • Assisting in managing petty cash and handling officerelated expenses.
  • Supporting various departments with ad hoc tasks as needed.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $23-$24, with a flexible schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. As a part-time employee, you will be entitled to Saturdays and Sundays off, as well as Major US Holidays. Our office is located in Torrance, CA, and we provide a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with experience in accounting software a plus.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly, professional demeanor, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and experience with invoicing or expense reporting is a big plus.
