Job Summary

Safran Seats USA is seeking a highly skilled Dynamic FEA Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations and analyses to evaluate the dynamic behavior and performance of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced FEA simulations and analyses to evaluate the dynamic behavior and performance of mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with our engineering team to ensure the structural integrity, reliability, and performance optimization of our products.
  • Develop and implement appropriate modeling techniques, boundary conditions, and material properties to accurately simulate real-world dynamic scenarios.
  • Analyze and interpret FEA results to identify potential design flaws, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Validate model with test and establish correlation.
  • Optimize design based on analysis and test results.
  • Prepare technical presentations for product engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering or related.
  • 1 year of finite element analysis experience using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package.
  • Knowledge of NASTRAN.
  • Strong background in basic structural engineering such as free body diagrams and strength of materials.
  • Knowledge of FEA using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package.
  • Broad understanding of finite element analysis and failure modes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present analysis findings to stakeholders.

Work Environment

The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise.
