About the Role

Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Assistant I

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Transport Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Assistant I, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients across the facility, ensuring timely transfers. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment, supporting technologists in delivering efficient care, and assisting with imaging procedures as directed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Transport & Safety: Safely transport patients using wheelchairs or gurneys, and ensure safe transfers to and from imaging equipment.
  • Environment & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure transport and imaging areas remain clean, stocked, and organized, and maintain inventory and restock as necessary.
  • Communication: Utilize Vocera to coordinate patient transport and respond to calls promptly, assist with coordinating add-on exams, and handle phone inquiries.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with safe patient and equipment handling, ergonomic practices, and basic computer and communication device use.
  • MRI safety training required within three months of hire.

Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $$54,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
