Data Center Construction Director Job Description:

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Director to lead our data center construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center construction, excellent project management skills, and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver data center construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage vendor performance, contract compliance, and risk mitigation to ensure project success.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, including weekly project reports and presentations to executive leadership.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in data center construction project management, with a focus on large-scale data centers or data center lease providers.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
