Senior Patient Care Associate

As a Patient Care Technician at UPMC, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and families. Your duties will include:
- Demonstrating awareness of behavior on the efficient functioning of the department
- Assuring equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department
- Establishing appropriate and effective communication strategies
- Responding within the scope of the nursing assistant role to emergent situations
Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care and support to patients and families
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
• Report equipment malfunctions and other issues to the appropriate department
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a nursing assistant training program
• Certification as a nursing assistant
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
