ER Physician Assistant

The Children's National Health System is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our ER team. As a Physician Assistant in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our ER department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and monitor patient clinical status, utilizing evidence-based practice and medical knowledge.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including writing patient care orders and prescribing therapy as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing, medicine, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in and lead multidisciplinary patient care and planning conferences.
- Communicate and escalate clinical/administrative issues as appropriate.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Eligibility for medical staff credentialing.
- Minimum 0 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of clinical specialty and services.
- Demonstrates clinical leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physician Assistant national board certification and licensure in state(s) of clinical practice.
- CDS and DEA in state(s) of clinical practice.
- BLS certified.
