We are seeking a skilled Electronics Calibration Specialist to join our team at Micro Precision.
About the Role
This is a critical position that requires strong technical expertise and attention to detail. As an Electronics Calibration Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and calibrating various instruments and equipment to ensure accurate readings.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration tasks on electrical equipment, dimensional tools, industrial machinery, temperature devices, and RF/optical instruments.
- Implement applicable requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards during calibration processes.
- Conduct pre-evaluation and inspections of customer equipment, including visual checks, cleaning, functional tests, and self-testing.
- Communicate status updates and calibration results to relevant personnel in a timely manner.
- Analyze data, compute uncertainty, and generate reports for calibration certificates.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration data and environmental conditions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures throughout the calibration process.
- Travel regionally or internationally to perform field calibration work as assigned.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Educational attainment in Metrology, Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in electronics technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic instrumentation and manual tools.
- Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
- Knowledge of calibration procedures, computation of uncertainty, and computer applications.
- Strong problem-solving techniques and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 techniques and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Estimated Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
